Following several recent customer wins, our epaper solution is becoming more commonplace within the pharmacy sector, where a number of pharmacy retail outlets have adopted our electronic shelf labels to ensure compliance with legislation that exists in several European countries.
This is the case in Spain, where legislation stipulates that all customer-facing products (excluding over the counter drugs), should display product information including price, cost per unit and weight or volume, with fines imposed for non-compliance.
In the Catalonia region of Spain, a team of inspectors has recently been tasked with checking labelling within pharmacies within the region, and impose fines for any stores not compliant with the legislation. This move has prompted a drive by many pharmacies to implement our electronic shelf labels, which has helped them to ensure compliance, in addition to giving them the ability to become more flexible with their pricing and promotions strategies.
Repromatic Trade, who joined ZBD’s partner programme last year, has been working with a number of pharmacies in the Catalonia region of Spain to implement our smallest product, the epop 50, throughout the stores. Once again, it's our minimal infrastructure requirements that makes our solution ideal for this application.
